The MoU was signed by Mr. Abdulaziz Billow Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Future Growth Forum, on behalf of FGF, and Hon. Major (Rtd) Bashir Abdullahi MP, Chairperson of PPG, on behalf of the parliamentary group.

The collaboration will focus on livestock development, halal investment, and farmer training on certification standards to strengthen pastoralist communities and unlock new opportunities in the halal economy.

The agreement will enhance farmer training on certification and mainstream pastoralist priorities in national policy.

“PPG has always worked to ensure pastoralist voices are heard in the national policy process. This MoU provides a practical framework to deliver tangible benefits for our livestock farmers and pastoralist communities,” added Hon. Major (Rtd) Bashir Abdullahi, Chairperson of PPG.

Established in 1998, the Pastoralists Parliamentary Group represents more than one hundred lawmakers dedicated to mainstreaming pastoralist issues within Kenya’s political and policy processes.
